Submerciful Undermarket is an underground shopping complex and leisure center located in Oranjestad, underneath the Olde Orangetown district.

Description

The complex consists of seven permanent installations and a large open area for numerous temporary vendor stalls. The Undermarket is interconnected with numerous buildings through tunnels and stairways, making it a major hub for pedestrian traffic. FlightWave Building, Wuthering Heights, The Oranje Cliffs, Yellow Brick Tower, Pink Moon Tower, Amsterdam Tower, Beach Fossils, and Dalaam Tower all have direct basement connections into Submerciful Undermarket. The area directly connects to Lusus and the Grand Narthex as well, allowing citizens to walk from one side of Downtown Oranjestad to the other without ever seeing the surface.

Architecture

The Undermarket is divided into two portions, north and south, with a crucial load-bearing wall of arches in between. Most businesses are located in the narrow south section, with the open north side primarily used for temporary vendor stalls and other events. The area is primarily made of chiseled stone and quartz, most of which was quarried from the original cavern that Submerciful Undermarket now occupies. From the outside, except for a single stairway descending from Watchmen's Ease Blvd, the complex is practically invisible - contained entirely underground.

Behind The Scenes

Submerciful was built entirely by nebbers, with the exception to the Nebberitos, which was built by Arcticstar.
