Minas Tirith

Minas Tirith, often affectionately referred to as "Mini Tirith," is a charming small town located in southern Oldeshire, inspired by the iconic city of Minas Tirith from the Lord of The Rings. This meticulously crafted town features a scaled-down version of the famous tiered city, with six circular levels and a grand 7th tier known as the Citadel, housing the Hall of the King and a replica of the White Tree of Gondor.

The construction of Minas Tirith was a collaborative effort among early Shire builders, led by the visionary Sambrears. Although the town was never fully populated, the lowest tier received complete development.

Notable locations within Minas Tirith include Kazooly’s Ice Cream parlor, The Bull’s Head Pub and Inn, Minas Sauna, a Courthouse, a Bath House, ten homes, a Train Station providing access to the Empire Line, and the prestigious Yeoman Hall. Yeoman Hall serves as an educational hub for Yeoman across the Shire, also housing the office of the Yeoman Union Leader.

Minas Tirith is situated within a natural depression, requiring the construction of a nearby dam to maintain the water levels. Two significant bridges cross the depression: one for road traffic, supported by sturdy stone arches, and another for trains, designed as a cable-stayed bridge.

Beyond the town's limits, one can find various structures, including an Apple Store, three homes, a charming 'Elf Garden,' the Hero Camp campground, and an essential access point to the Sterling Hill Water Tunnel. This tunnel, constructed in 1980 by United Shire Water Industries, runs underground just east of Minas Tirith, providing crucial water services to the surrounding area.
