Brutalpest University is an esteemed institution specializing in architecture, situated in the northeastern metropolitan region of New Orange City, formerly known as Oranjestad. Boasting a student body of nearly 2,200, it stands as the world's largest school dedicated to the art and science of architectural studies.

History

Brutalpest University emerged in the post-Overtaker War era of the 1930s, founded by visionary architects and educators aiming to foster architectural innovation. Beginning in a repurposed warehouse in what is now New Orange City, the institution swiftly expanded, establishing the School of Architecture in the early 1950s. The addition of the School of Visual Arts in the 1960s and the Baron Parson School of Construction in the late 1970s marked significant milestones, diversifying the university's offerings and solidifying its reputation for innovative design education. Today, it stands as a global hub for architectural exploration and academic excellence.

Academics

The university offers a comprehensive array of academic programs, comprising 13 bachelor's degrees and 11 graduate degrees across its three schools. These programs encompass various facets of architectural design, construction, environmental planning, industrial design, interior design, landscape architecture, and urban affairs and planning.

School of Architecture + Design

Programs within the School of Architecture + Design cover a spectrum of disciplines including architecture, interior design, industrial design, and landscape architecture. Students have the opportunity to pursue Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees, both accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board. The Bachelor of Architecture degree has proudly retained NAAB accreditation consecutively since the 1957-58 academic year, solidifying its position as one of the oldest accredited architecture programs in the Shire. The school also offers professionally accredited degrees in Industrial Design (BS.IDS), Interior Design (BS.ITDS), and Landscape Architecture (BLA and MLA). For those inclined towards research-oriented studies, the Master of Science in Architecture and the PhD in Architecture and Design Research are available.

School of Visual Arts

Dedicated to the visual arts, this school provides programs in visual communication design and studio arts, with a diverse range of concentrations including visual communication design/graphic design, creative technologies, 3-D animation, modeling, painting, ceramics, animation, and sculpture. Areas of study encompass the studio arts (B.F.A.), visual communication design (B.F.A.), art history (B.A.), and creative technologies (M.F.A.). The administrative offices of this school are housed in the Armory, one of the historically significant buildings in New Orange City.

Baron Parson School of Construction

A collaboration between the College of Architecture and Urban Studies and the College of Engineering, the Baron Parson School of Construction owes its existence to a generous donation from Real Estate tycoon Baron Parson. The school specializes in degrees centered on building construction and construction engineering and management. What distinguishes the programs here is their unique fusion of building construction with civil engineering, offering a multifaceted and innovative approach to education in these fields.
