Real-Life Build History
Morska was founded on February 19, 2025, by The_Duck_King_.
The first building is the event center, which remains without a proper name. It is located at -8066 73 34. Originally, it was planned to be a tall, thin log house, but when building it, the proportions didn't match. The triangular roof was extended to ground level, and it was repurposed as an events center--a generic type of building.
Morska was named on April 29, 2025. The Morska Train Station was proposed on June 1, 2025, and the platforms were built on June 4, with the station opening on July 9.
The zeppelin ZNT Geoffrey was transported to Morska on January 10, 2026.
An interesting build near Morska is the vault at -7889 145. The owner or exact purpose remains a mystery to this day.
On February 19, 2026, Morska celebrated its 1 year anniversary. Celebrations included the unveiling of a flag, a new events center--which would become the tallest building, surpassing the Morska Inn--naming the original event center (Misha Ivanovich Event Center), a history walk, a ladder to the ZNT Geoffrey, and a fireworks show scheduled for 17:23 PM UTC (delayed by 4 minutes) to celebrate 1 year since Morska's location was approved.
History
On Morska's 2026 anniversary, Zal Industries made threats towards Morska, saying that it would ruin Morska's economy, spread propaganda, and enlist the help of its ZIP:IT paramilitary.
In response, the Lost Commonwealth and Rice Republic sent support. The Lost Commonwealth sent the CAV Vigilant and CAV Brave ships, as well as four patrol vessels. The Rice Republic sent its RRS Paladin and RRS Valiant ships. The RRS Paladin is docked on ground, where Morska built a temporary extension of Svoboda Street to it.
Svoboda Street was formed on February 19 to accommodate new structures in response to Zal Industry's threats. The street included the Savva news group, and the formation of the Morska Guard. The street is the same road that leads to the ZNT Geoffrey. It was intended to be temporary until the threats were made towards Morska.
Future Developments
Four districts are planned: Market, Central, Residential/Housing, and Port.
The Market District of Morska is currently under construction, and has half of the city's buildings. The buildings are mostly shops with dedicated buildings, but without stalls. They are smaller than most buildings, and also are much more packed-in together than in other parts of Morska.
The Central District is partially historic, having the first buildings of the city (it is south of the train station). Other buildings will be miscellaneous, including, eventually, a new town hall.
The Residential/Housing District will have housing of various types. Denser buildings will be closer to the city center. 2 houses have been made, and 1 is under construction.
The Port District will have a port, with various market stalls. It has no near-future plans for commencing.
All districts will have some housing.
Infrastracture
Morska uses dirt roads for transport within the city, and they connect to an intercity road, which stretches from the port of Salise to the city of Avignon. There is an intercity rail station (Morska Train Station) which serves one of West Shire Rail's branch lines. Morska is a terminus station, but has potential expansion plans to Terumbu Nagaram. The other terminus is at Kiwimango.
Geography
Morska is in a a snowy, arctic biome. The terrain is moderately hilly, although most of the buildings are on flat land. It is located on the western border of the Shire, on an island.
Laws
A building code that is universal for all buildings in Morska is that a building must have at least one operational fireplace, and each floor must recieve heat from the fireplace. This is due to the arctic climate.
