Shan-ning

Shan-ning is a quaint and historical hillside village located in a scenic area just north of Petra and west of Fraser. This small settlement holds the distinction of being one of the early Shire settlements, rich in cultural heritage and tradition.

Shan-ning was first established by SNKelly12 and is one of the ancient villages in the region that has been continuously inhabited. It is home to the Shai people, a small ethnic group with deep roots in Oldeshire, known for their settlements in areas like Gong-Chengshi and Shai-Ling.

Nestled on a hillside, the village offers picturesque views of the surrounding landscape. Its proximity to Petra and Fraser adds to its historical and cultural significance in the region.

The village, though small, boasts several noteworthy structures and facilities that reflect its cultural richness and communal lifestyle. A tall pagoda stands as a significant religious and cultural landmark, symbolizing the spiritual beliefs and practices of the Shai people.

There are three homes in the village, housing the local families and maintaining the traditional architectural style.

A traditional Shai gate, signifying the entrance to a sacred space, is perched over the main village road.
