Exzoa is a small rural town located in the far northwest reaches of Oldeshire, nestled just south of the Lost Valley Region. It lies west of Aetheria, east of Aelfort, and is bordered to the east by a Tyro Tutorial area; a small instructional zone designed to teach proper home building techniques to new players. The town was founded by ExoticButter168 and is best known for its surreal natural features, rustic charm, and limited access.

Notable Features

Giant Exotic Flowers:

  • Perhaps the most iconic feature of Exzoa is its towering exotic flowers, many of which reach up to 12 meters in height. These fantastical plants are scattered throughout the area and define the town’s whimsical aesthetic.

The Central Pond & Sword Statue:

  • At the heart of Exzoa lies a tranquil pond pierced by a dramatic 25-meter tall black stone sword, its red handle gleaming above the waterline. This massive monument is a central gathering point and symbol of the town.

The Dugout Restaurant:

  • Adjacent to the central pond is The Dugout, a cozy and well-loved local restaurant frequented by townsfolk and travelers.

Architecture & Layout

Exzoa is primarily unpaved, with dirt paths weaving between buildings. Most structures are made from oak and birch, topped with spruce plank roofs, giving the town a natural and handcrafted look. In contrast, the town center features a small cluster of more durable stone-constructed businesses.

To the north, the structured layout begins to dissipate into a looser collection of scattered homes, open land, and a few unfinished building frames. On the far northern edge, perched beside the water, sits Ark6’s Home; an unusual residence built with a black felt roof and a wood and sandstone façade, standing out among the town’s more traditional structures.

A small farm can be found just west of the central district, supporting the local food supply and maintaining the agrarian character of the town.

Transportation & Access

Exzoa is one of the few settlements in Oldeshire not connected to the rail system. It relies on a minimalist network of three small roads and two modest bridges:

A stone bridge to the south, serving as a local entrance.

A covered bridge to the north, linking Exzoa to The Lost Commonwealth, complete with a small border crossing station.

A dirt road stretching east through the Tyro Tutorial area, allowing limited overland foot access.

Community & Development

Though modest in size and population, Exzoa has a strong identity shaped by its natural environment, experimental structures, and artistic landmarks. Its quiet, rural atmosphere and lack of major infrastructure give it a peaceful, self-contained feel, appealing to builders and wanderers.
