Catoptron Castle is a historic castle in southern Arbemaisonnes, the capital of King's Federation. It is associated with the urban legend of the Lady of Catoptron Castle ghost. The castle is also home to the Circuit Catoptron RSF track.
Geography
Catoptron Castle is located in the Corridor Oriental county of the Arbemaisonnes Capital Province. The castle lies southeast of Arbemaisonnes's historical city center, and is connected through a pathway to Kiwimango further south. The castle is neighbored by Voyaberge Inn and a small tower to the north. The castle, as well as its surroundings, are the only places in Arbemaisonnes with a snowy climate, the only ones with a consistent snowfall, and the only ones with a permanent midnight. Upon a player's visit to the Castle's area, a large blackletter-scripted greeting flag would appear:
Structures
Catoptron Castle is roughly divided by two wings: north and south. There are approximately nine functional towers around the castle; five is situated in the north wing, two between both wings, and two in the south wing. The castle houses Circuit Catoptron, one of the two RSF tracks in Arbemaisonnes, with its track line including parts of both wings and southern outdoors. The castle also features a dungeon.

North wing
The north wing features a keep (central tower) with an approximate height of 110.25 blocks. The wing also functions as the main entrance, with a forecourt on its east side. Its entrance leads to the eastern entrance hall, which acts as the main hall of the castle, as well as the start line of Circuit Catoptron. There is also an access on the northern part of the wing. Other rooms on the first and second floor include a small gallery and an armory.
The northwestern tower serves as a main access to the third floor and above, as well as being included within Circuit Catoptron's track. The third floor features a large ballroom, situated above the eastern entrance hall and equipped with a large organ. The organ is equipped with a used lectern; its book quotes the Tragbare Katze meme made by Gauzi, a German YouTuber. The floor also has a prayer room with bookshelves for books of Bible verses. There is a lectern showcasing a book quoting Leviticus 26: 14-39. The room also stores a candle stand and a skull with shattered blood-like redstone powder.
South wing
The south wing includes another forecourt and an entrance hall, both smaller in size, but higher by two floor levels than its north wing counterparts due to the hall being on the third floor. The wing features a pair of dining halls on the first floor, connected through a kitchen. The larger dining hall is equipped with a living room corner, a grand piano, and a library corner. The third floor includes four guest rooms, each equipped with a bathroom. Other rooms in the south wing's first and second floors include a large gallery and a library, while its third and fourth floors include an indoor garden and a magi room. The wing's southwestern tower can be used as an access to the underground dock and dungeon.
Dungeon
As of early 2026, the dungeon remains mostly a large empty space beneath the castle; there has been no established floor levels and prison cells. However, there is an underground canal dock room and an adjacent Taiatea store beneath and connected to the castle's south wing. The dock's canal entrance is located west of the dock room.
Outdoors
The outdoors of the castle are mostly filled with snowy spruce trees. Pathways circle the castle, with outward access from the northern and southern parts of the castle's complex. A small, two-level dock house, as well as a Kettu Live-operated Cooking With Zalidia show set is situated east of the castle (the latter being excluded from the castle's complex). South of the castle, there is a still depiction of an "ice-frozen sheriff" along with two other figures. Other structures include a wooden arch and a ring hoop for the castle's RSF track.

Circuit Catoptron
Circuit Catoptron is a registered RSF track. Contrary to some RSF tracks with their own unique structures, the track utilizes existing parts of the castle and its surroundings. The track starts on the castle's main entrance; it then goes north to the northwestern tower of the north wing, circling the interior while raising the floor level by one. After that, it goes eastward and briefly passes the castle's prayer room before going south. The track then turns east again, leading into the castle's interior garden. Past the garden, the track goes slightly westward before circling stairs. The track continues on the castle's south wing roof; it goes southeast before encountering a small stone arch and then a large wooden ring hoop. Its route bends east afterwards, passing through a wooden arch. The route then goes northeast before moving back indoors to a library. It then goes west and north before arriving back at its start line.
Non-lore information
- The non-lore status of this section's information has not been formally reviewed.
The castle area is listed in WorldGuard as "Dreamcastle". Zalidia is recorded as its owner, with no additional members. Before the castle was named Catoptron in-game, other suggested names include Candescence Keep and Kapiolani, with the latter referring to a song by the Japanese jazz fusion band T-SQUARE.
