Pangea

Pangea Valley, often referred to simply as Pangea, is a remarkable geographical wonder located in west-central Oldeshire, just east of the imposing Leopard Mountains. This unique valley is characterized by its seven majestic mountains that encircle a steep, enclosed bowl-shaped valley. Pangea is renowned for its enigmatic and magical properties, with each of its surrounding mountains boasting distinct and captivating features.

Geography and Topography

Pangea Valley is nestled amidst the rugged terrain of Oldeshire, and its dramatic landscape is nothing short of extraordinary. The valley itself is enclosed by seven mountains, creating an almost mystical amphitheater-like setting. Each of these mountains contributes to the valley's reputation for being a place of wonder and mystery.

West Mountain

The western mountain of Pangea is a steep, imposing peak, graced by a magnificent waterfall that cascades down its rocky face. At the base of this mountain lies a breathtaking surprise— a colossal, 35-meter-tall carving of a human skull, intricately embedded within the mountain walls. This awe-inspiring sight is one of the valley's most iconic landmarks.

Southern Mountains

To the south of Pangea, two smaller mountains add to the valley's charm. The larger of the two is home to an expansive building complex ingeniously constructed within the mountain's peak, a testament to architectural ingenuity and a prime vantage point to appreciate the valley's beauty.

Eastern Mountain

The eastern mountain, though shorter than its counterparts, features its own cascading waterfall and is dotted with houses built vertically into the mountainside.

Northern Mountains

Heading northwards, Pangea presents three more mountains, each with its own distinct character. The northeastern mountain stands out as an active volcano, with rivers of lava flowing down its slopes into the valley below. Surprisingly, nestled within the volcano's depths is a wizard's castle, seemingly untouched by the fiery rivers.

The next mountain to the north is a serene contrast, covered by a thick canopy of jungle. It offers a sanctuary of lush greenery within the valley, inviting explorers to venture into its depths.

Finally, the northwestern mountain is an icy marvel, with every surface, including the trees, encased in ice. Suspended in the air around this frigid peak are large icy droplets, some large enough to house a small dwelling.

Central Features

At the heart of Pangea stands a colossal tree, soaring 80 meters into the sky. This magnificent tree has been hollowed out at its center to accommodate a train station, making it a hub of activity within the valley. Suspended above the tree is a massive mesh orb made of glass and glowing stones, measuring an impressive 90 meters in diameter. This ethereal orb emits a mesmerizing light that bathes the valley in a captivating glow.

Surrounding the central tree and orb are floating, glowing spheres, approximately one meter in diameter, resembling fireflies. These luminous orbs contribute to the valley's magical ambiance, adding an enchanting touch to the already surreal landscape.

Transportation

Pangea is accessible through its central train station, serviced by the Juris Line. This rail connection allows visitors to easily reach the valley and explore its many wonders.

Behind the Scenes

Pangea Valley was originally created as a separate world, exclusive for higher ranks. The separate world was difficult to maintain and a strain on server resources, so the valley was eventually relocated to the main world. The initial landscape was created by nebbers, and all of the other builds were created by many talented Shirelings. Going from memory - Sambrears, Batmins, CoffeeandChill, Vinso, Shaenvr722, Arcticstar, Aedesius, Lobstrex and many, many more all had a hand in creating Pangea.
