Cactus County (state)

Not to be confused with the desert region of Cactus County, which the state is the namesake of.

Cactus County is a state consisted of several towns, as well as areas belonging to the Shire International Space Agency (SISA), which the state is known most for. The state is also known as the namesake of the Cactus County desert region.

Geography and structures

Cactus County consists of three established towns: Hay-Lige, Nurburg, and Mojave, as well as special areas for the SISA Complex and SISA Launchpad. Other parts include the sparsely developed, snowy northwestern territory, which features a building competition build by Smoot.

Nurburg is the transportation center of Cactus County, as it is the only town with a station (Cactus Central Station) and a warp point (/warp Nurburg) in the whole state. The town is named after the Nürburgring motorsport race track complex in real-world Germany, whose flag is placed all over the town. Nurburg itself is a horse race track complex. To accompany the race track, the town has horse stables, a hotel (Hotel Mamba), a betting-booth building, and a warehouse. The race track (and possibly the whole town) was built by a player named Chrazing.

Hay-Lige, or Hay-Lige Old Town in formal naming, is the oldest town in Cactus County, as well as its old capital. There are two possibilities to the city's origin: either it was founded by Asshole Mckinly and Sheriff Kurt Pistol, Oranjestad citizens, or built by Hay. Among the three towns, it is the only non-desert town. The town is characterized by rectangular builds with sides of glass, framed with planks or polished granite. It is said that its first building was made in 1848. Laurelii presence was documented through the Hay Farms building, where it was "built by the Laurelii people in secret as a means for spying on the Cactus County people as their civilization developed".

Mojave is the largest town of the three, as well as home to Mojave Radio, the main news network in the entire state. Like Hay-Lige, it is mostly filled with buildings with glass sides, as well as planks and granite frames, with a few exceptions such as obsidian and sandstone framed buildings. Among the builds are the Happy Desert Casino, Mojave Metro Hospital, Dundler Mifflin Office Building, and the Mojave Radio Tower. A large pair of flags depicting the real-flag of the United States and the state of Nevada is also visible.

History

Cactus County was first managed by Dogforcerecon. A July 2016 record mentioned Cactus County's transition to a federation consisted of two provinces: Cactus Province (possibly the central province) and Federaland (consisted of later-made boroughs), inviting other players to build in Cactus County. Another record mentioned a short period of tense diplomacy between the state and Venezia Nuova due to discovered survelliance. However, a later record showed Dogforcerecon's concern of Cactus County becoming too large. Dogforcerecon's period is rather short; they departed shortly after.

After Dogforcerecon's departure, Humzahh takes over to manage the state. Cactus County saw its highest development during Humzahh's period through the establishment of the SISA Launchpad and Complex in September 2016. Cooperations between SISA and Riverwoodian organizations such as Anthcorp and The Riverwood Humane Society are documented through a meeting in the Anthcorp Western Division, Paarsdam, Republic of Orange and Purple.

Humzahh's apparent departure in 2019 left Cactus County unmanaged. The name "Cactus County" is increasingly used to refer to the desert region as a whole, from Cathal to Palustris.
