In contemporary times, the Duke and Yeoman ranks share substantial similarities, with minor additional privileges distinguishing the former. However, the historical significance of the Duke rank, particularly before 2021, sets it apart as a unique testament to the server's evolution.
Notably, prior to January 2021, Dukes enjoyed the exclusive privilege of full Creative mode access. This distinctive feature made the Duke rank an emblem of creative freedom and unlimited possibilities within the Shire server. In the early years, before the introduction of Creative mode, Dukes were granted exceptional benefits. They held sway over the Dukedom, a vast glass-domed hall on the outskirts of the mainland. Within this hall, Dukes could access infinite resources, providing them with the essential building blocks to shape their creative visions.
Despite the transformation brought about by Creative mode, the Dukedom remains as a tangible relic, a symbol of a bygone era in the server's history. The Dukedom stands as a testament to the server's evolution and the enduring legacy of the Duke rank.
The path to acquiring the esteemed title of Duke involves a meaningful gesture of support for the Shire server. Yeoman ascend to the rank of Duke by contributing a minimum donation of $15 to the server, a gesture that not only expresses gratitude for the server's existence but also demonstrates a profound commitment to its community.
