The '''Noreskian Federation''' is a federation comprising different states and dependencies located throughout The Shire. Because of its geographical dispersion and the vastness of its territory, it is home to many different cultures, peoples and languages. 

The official languages used for official communication are Shirefrench, Shirenglish and Norgenese, in that order, with Shirefrench and Norgenese being privileged for internal communication, and Shirenglish being privileged for communication towards foreign officials. 
However, the languages spoken amongst the Noreskii are more varied : in addition to Shirefrench, Shirenglish and Norgenese, there are communities that speak Oranjestadish, Venetian and Athitican.
