Tyrules have cyan titles.

The Tyrule (aka Tyro) rank on the Shire server is the initial step for new members embarking on their journey within the community. Derived from the term "tyro," meaning a beginner or novice, Tyros represent individuals who are just starting to explore and contribute to the Shire environment.

Becoming a Tyrule

Upon successfully applying for membership, all new members are granted the Tyrule rank. This serves as the starting point for their engagement with the server. Regardless of a player's prior experience, every newcomer begins their Shire adventure as a Tyrule.

Tyro Zones

Throughout the evolution of the Tyro concept, various zones have been designated to provide new members with dedicated spaces for learning and building. These zones have undergone changes over time, adapting to the evolving needs of the server and its community.

  • First Tyro Zone: Initially, a dedicated world served as the first Tyro zone, offering a space for Tyros to build and familiarize themselves with the server.
  • Main World Tyro Region: Subsequently, a specific region within the main world was allocated for Tyro building, with remnants of this region still visible east of Lothlorien.
  • Floating Islands Tyro Zone: A later iteration introduced a new Tyro zone featuring dozens of floating islands. Intitally called Tyronak, this zone, though defunct, is still accessible through /warp tyro.
  • Current Plot World: The current Tyro zone involves a plot world where each Tyro is allocated a dedicated plot of land, offering protection from interference as they develop their building skills.

Tyrule Advancement

As Tyros showcase their building skills and engage positively with the community, they may progress to the next rank of Tyrule. Advancement typically involves proving one's capabilities by constructing well-designed and thoughtful projects within the Tyro zone.

Restrictions and Privileges

While Tyrules have limited building permissions within their designated zones, they do not possess full Creative mode access. Their building activities are initially confined to their allocated plots. Tyros gain the ability to teleport to other players, utilize in-game direct messaging, and execute basic commands such as /ptime to change the daylight.

Historical Significance

The Tyro rank has played a crucial role in introducing new members to the Shire community. Over the years, it has evolved to adapt to the changing dynamics of the server, providing a structured and supportive environment for beginners.

Conclusion

The Tyro rank represents the initiation phase for new members entering the Shire server. It serves as a foundational step, guiding players as they familiarize themselves with the server's unique features and contribute to the community. With designated zones, building opportunities, and a pathway to advancement, Tyros lay the groundwork for their Shire experience.
