General

The Sterling Hill Tunnel (located near Falore) is part of the Shire's water network. It was built by the United Shire Water Industries in the early to mid 80s. The company was infamous for building structurally flawed projects(Like the Shireboyle NPP). Only a couple months later, USWI fell into bankruptcy because of the 85' recession. The tunnel became abandoned but was still in use due to desperate water needs. Some time in the early 2010', the Central Shire Water Network (owned by the government) renovated some parts of the tunnel after a infrastructure inspector died in a tunnel cave in- temporarily causing a water crisis-. After the slight renovation, the tunnel still is on the brink of collapse with no maintenance being done to it. Some Speculators say that the CSWN is corrupt and needs to be brought down.

One major flaw of the tunnel is that the tunnel is built on top of a tunnel network, causing major instability.
