Seratapera is a unique underground village located beneath Lamename Village and parts of Bree and Belthil in central Oldeshire. Established by Shire Arbiter Zyno, Seratapera is a remarkable subterranean community, distinguished by its division into an older eastern half and a newer, sparsely populated western half.

The village has a train station, with access to the Zelos Line.

Eastern Half: The Old Seratapera

The older section of Seratapera is a testament to the village's long history and its adaptation to the underground environment. This area is characterized by a lower cave ceiling adorned with thick vines and giant-sized mushrooms and pine forest. Lights dangle from the cave ceiling on ropes, providing essential illumination for both the residents and the vegetation. The cold gray stone of the cave adds to the mystique of this ancient section.

This older part of Seratapera is bustling with homes and various businesses catering to the unique needs of its inhabitants. The Bedrock pub offers a gathering place for miners, while Alice’s Gardening Supplies and Mr. Moriarty’s Fine Polished & Cut Gems and Metals cater to more specific trades and hobbies. The community's needs are further served by the Seratapera Clinic, Terry’s Night Club, and a small chapel, among other establishments. Of particular interest is Zyno’s Exotic Plant and Animal Shop, home to rare and possibly illegal specimens like the Mirkwood Marsh Mantis and Belthil Nirnroot. This shop, along with others like Bizzaro’s Raw Gem and Material and the Stolen Wool Shop, contributes to the village's diverse and somewhat mysterious character.

Western Half: The New Expansion

The newer western half of Seratapera contrasts starkly with its eastern counterpart. Generally accessed from the surface in Lamename Village via a long staircase, this part of the village is known for its expansive cave, marked by a higher ceiling and massive natural stone columns. The cave features less vegetation but includes a waterfall and a channel, creating a serene natural landscape.

This newer area, with its handful of homes and bridges, presents a blank canvas for future development. The presence of a Waitrose Copy grocery store along the western edge signals the beginning of this expansion. The large spaces, ready for growth, indicate the potential for this part of Seratapera to evolve into a bustling community like its older counterpart.

Seratapera offers a unique underground lifestyle, with its residents adapting to the conditions of living beneath the earth. The village's two halves provide contrasting experiences – from the bustling, vine-entwined eastern half to the tranquil expansiveness of the west.
